In Eastern cultures the 7 main chakras are your body’s energy centres, running upward through the body from the bottom of the torso to the top of the head along the spine.
The word chakra is Sanskrit in origin and the chakras are often depicted as either spinning wheels – chakra means wheel – or flowers with varied numbers of petals, each connected to a specific colour.
Each chakra is also associated with different body parts, emotions and life areas, so as you focus on each chakra it can help you explore any connected issues or problems you may be experiencing.
Chakras, like muscles, can become imbalanced due to the stresses and strains of modern day life. This can block the natural flow of energy that would normally run through your body. Chakras, unlike muscles, are conceptual – so mental and energetic focus such as meditation aids the balancing.
In keeping with the Holistic approach to wellness, Chakra balancing addresses both the body and the spirit, aiming to help restore a sense of self and clarity.
Our Chakra balancing session is a combination of gentle dialogue, Healing and guided meditation. And can be combined with massage…
“In a calm environment and a relaxing atmosphere, I was relieved of all the tension in my muscles – even the tension I didn’t know I had. Combined with the balancing of my chakras I was left feeling totally clear and relaxed.”
